Hand dyed/plant dyed medium weight woven cotton fabric.
Suitable for sashiko or any other embroidery, patchwork, quilting, garment or general crafting projects.
Our plant -dyed fabric is ideal for sashiko projects - it is easy for needle and thread to pass whilst still maintaining its shape and structure. As the fabric has been soaked in water many times during the dyeing process, it won't shrink a lot like some other cotton fabrics. The natural dying process also produces a unique shade, texture and vintage look that is rare to find in other mass-produced fabrics.
This fabric comes in 6 different shades. Please note that due to the nature of the hand dying process, there might be slight variations between different batches of the same shade. It is recommended to purchase enough fabric for your project at once if the exact same shade is required.
There are small white marks along the salvage - this was created during the dying process, and it is not a quality issue.
CARE
Please avoid exposing the fabric in direct sunlight for a long time.
